At 30kmph, Bernina must be one of the slowest trains to earn the name express! But you wouldn’t want it to go any faster as it rears and plunges through the Southern Alps, climbing the glaciers in Switzerland and descending into the palms in Italy, navigating 196 bridges – some spanning dizzying chasms – and boring through mountains via 55 tunnels. Views from the glass-roofed carriage as it climbs up to St Moritz are staggering. The feats of engineering that zigzagged the track over the mountainous terrain are so impressive that is it a recognised UNESCO World Heritage Site.......... >>>> http://snip.ly/XroW
