From its art, history, churches and parks, Paris offers plenty to see and do, without spending a cent. Here’s a list of top 10 free must-sees.

1. Marche aux Puces de St-Ouen

Peruse stalls of art combining antique dealers, retailers, designers, artisans and artists at the St-Ouen flea market and antiques fair. Founded in the late 19th century and said to be Europe’s largest, the space comprises 14 markets, each with their own specialty. Whether visiting for a spot of window shopping or to find an indulgent, vintage collectable to take home, the marketplace caters for all sorts of tastes and offers a truly unique atmosphere to soak up.

2. Cimetiere du Pere Lachaise
Visit the tombs of literary greats like Proust and Balzac and modern icons like Oscar Wilde and Edith Piaf at Pere Lachaise, arguably the world’s most acclaimed cemetery. A tree-lined path winds its way through the 44ha garden cemetery, making it one of the city’s most haunting yet beautiful walks.

3. Musee de la Vie Romantique
For those with romance on the mind, the Musee de la Vie Romantique is another must while in the city of love. For decades, Scheffer hosted Friday-evening salons at the residence, inviting Parisian socialites such as romantic literary figure George Sand and writer Charles Dickens. You need to know 11 Amazing Places in Florida

Coral Castle | © Christina Rutz / Flickr

Florida might seem like all it can offer is damn good citrus and damn good beaches, but boy, does this state have some surreal stuff to offer guests. Not only do we make all your dreams come true with the magic of our Disney parks, but we're also full of mysterious and charming hidden gems.

The Bubble Room
This bizarre restaurant can be found on Captiva Island on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Step into a (drug-fueled) dream where everything seems multicolored and embellished. Décor hangs on every inch of the wall: framed photos and wall art, Christmas lights, old toys. Enjoy dishes like Mango-Tango Chicken, Moon Over Miami, The Louis Armstrong, and the restaurant’s world-famous Bubble Bread. Make sure to catch the sunset on the beach before heading to dinner at this strange spot.

Neptune Memorial Reef
The Neptune Memorial Reef is the largest man-made reef in the world and covers 16 acres of the ocean floor. Just east of Key Biscayne, this Atlantis-inspired reef is popular among scuba divers, marine biologists, students, and boaters – but its spiritual undertone means it’s also a popular place for families to send off the ashes of loved ones so that they can “create life after life.”

HOW TO VISIT FASCINATING FINLAND ON ITS 100TH BIRTHDAY

BY ARCHANA SINGH

WHY VISIT FINLAND

1) Offbeat yet well organized
Finland is often overlooked for its Scandinavian neighbours, and that’s what makes it an ideal destination for discerning travelers. Queues, jams and crowds are alien words here. The unspoiled vast expanses of wilderness like no other. Finland might be wild but it is well geared up from all-included-safari style packages to compass-and-map DIY adventures.

2) Natural Wonderland
When I first looked down from my Finnair plane, I saw an endless carpet of forests snuggled under a white blanket, speckled by picture-perfect lakes as if an artist flicked a blue dipped paintbrush on a white canvas. Finnish dreamscapes are a treasure trove for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts like me.You name it and Finland has it – from having some of Europe’s best hiking trails to adrenaline pumping activities like cross country skiing to kayaking to glacier walking to Aurora Borealis hunting to Bear-watching.

3) Four distinct seasons
Nature in Finland seems to be a fashion aficionado. Four times a year it changes its wardrobe completely– colour, light, temperature, sounds and smells. Everything changes mystically in a way that happens nowhere else.

Top 5 things to do in Helsinki:
