Amazing Top 10 Hidden Beaches in Bali, Indonesia

Share by

Share Travel News travel vacation indonesia beachesEveryone knows that Bali has beaches; it's one of the main reasons people travel half way across the world to visit the Island of Gods. Whether it's the exotic black volcanic beaches of the west or the soft white sand beaches in the south, there's sure to be something for every type of beach-goer.

Visitors are bound to have heard of the beaches at Kuta, Nusa Dua and Sanur, but what about those that are a little harder to find, tucked away down a beaten track or nestled below secluded cliffs? Here we share some of our favorite hidden beaches in Bali... It may take a little longer to get there, but it's worth the effort!

1. Perasi Beach (Pasir Putih)
Perasi Beach is also known as "White Sand Beach" or "Virgin Beach" and is located in the Karangasem regency in East Bali. If you're looking to get away from the crowded beaches like Kuta and Sanur in the south, then this beach is for you.
No hotels, villas or any other tourist accommodations are visible from Perasi Beach, only views of Gili Biaha on the horizon. There are a couple of food stalls and shops that offer local food, snacks and beverages for visitors, and it's also possible to rent an umbrella and sun loungers for the day.
Located about 4.5 km east of Candi Dasa, Perasi Beach is about one and a half hour's drive from Denpasar. Follow the Jalan Raya Candidasa-Bugbug main road to the village of Perasi and look out for a dirt road opposite the village’s Pura Bale Agung temple that leads to the beach.
Signs may display various names such as "White Sand Beach", "Virgin Beach" or "Pasir Putih". It's then a one-kilometer drive down a bumpy track to the beach, where parking is available under shady palm trees..
2. Balangan
Balangan is a favorite hangout for surfers and is located on Bali's Bukit Peninsula, not far from the world-famous break at Uluwatu.

It's possible to spend the night at Balangan, either at one of the guesthouses on the bluff or at one of the beach shacks right on the beach. White sun umbrellas line the stretch of sand at the base of the cliffs and is the perfect place to soak up the sun while the surfers amongst you catch some waves out front ........ keep reading ........ http://bit.ly/2m0rzJm

5 Tips for Stress-free Holiday enjoy your trip

(BPT) - Americans took more than 11 million flights in November and December 2014, according to the U.S. Office of Travel & Tourism Industries, and many experts believe that number is on track to grow this year. If you’re worried about long lines and potential flight delays, these five tips should help make your experience as stress-free as possible.
1. Pack wisely. Even the most seasoned travelers have an opportunity to optimize their packing process. For example, shipping gifts ahead of time will save precious bag space and help you avoid fees. If you do pack gifts, keep them unwrapped as the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) may need to access them during screening. Developing two packing lists — one for your carry-on luggage (be sure electronics and liquids are easily accessible) and one for your checked bag — may minimize the need for last-minute reshuffling at the airport. Finally, a small padlock may help prevent theft, but make sure it’s TSA-approved or it may not make it to your destination in one piece.

2. Skip the line. Many people know printing their boarding pass or downloading a digital copy to their phone may help expedite flight check-in. However, fewer people take advantage of opportunities to reduce time spent at security and customs checkpoints. If you’re traveling domestically, sign up for TSA PreCheck at www.tsa.gov for expedited security screening. If you’re traveling internationally, sign up for Global Entry at www.cbp.gov for expedited U.S. customs and border protections clearance. In either case, sign up as soon as possible, as the application process can take several weeks.
3. Stay connected. As the number of travelers with smartphones continues to rise, mobile applications are becoming more popular as travel tools. Take a few minutes before your trip to research and download the apps most relevant to you. Also, remember that while convenient, mobile charging stations may threaten the security of your phone’s private data. Instead, consider purchasing a power bank to help ensure you have enough juice to wait out potential flight delays.
4. Stay healthy. Nothing ruins a trip like getting sick, so take preventive measures in the weeks before your trip — such as getting enough sleep, drinking plenty of water and exercising appropriately — to help boost your immune system. Consider a seasonal flu vaccine, as according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, flu activity peaks between December and February. Additionally, ask your doctor about safe sitting exercises that may reduce the risk of blood clots or other flight-related conditions.

5. Protect yourself. Finally, if you didn’t purchase travel insurance when you booked your flight, it may not be too late to do so. Insurance may usually be purchased up to 24 hours before your departure date and a variety of options are available. “Travelers are smarter than ever when it comes to finding great travel deals, but some are still forgetting to protect themselves financially with travel insurance,” said Jeff Rutledge, CEO, AIG Travel. “It’s important travelers prepare for unexpected events, especially during the holidays, such as trip cancellation, interruption, lost or stolen luggage, and emergency medical issues.” Many travel insurance products also offer comprehensive support services for travelers. For example, most offerings in the Travel Guard suite of products from AIG Travel feature concierge services, which are available as soon as a policy is purchased and may provide assistance for anything from event ticketing to locating a gift wrapping service.

The Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga or the National Museum of Ancient Art in English is known as Lisbon’s most significant museum. The museum is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Portugal because of its huge Portuguese art collection, which is complemented by a superior selection of masterpieces from different parts of the world. The museum sits perfectly in a seventeenth-century palace, which was primarily built for the First Count of Alvor, Francisco de Tavora. In 1770, the palace was purchased by the Marquis of Pombal. For this festival, thousands gather inside and outside the temple to listen to the bell tolls and pray for the upcoming year. Additionally, visitors can taste local delights and experience a wide variety of activities and performances happen during and in between the ringing moments.

The Official Spring Festival (Chinese New Year)
The Chinese New Year, also known as Spring Festival, is an even more lively celebration than that of the Western New Year. This holiday season typically falls in February or March and lasts over a week. In 2016, the Chinese New Year is February 8, and with the Spring Festival lasting from February 7 to February 13. Festivities during the Dragon Boat Festival involve eating Zongzi, a traditional Chinese sticky rice dumpling, and crowds of locals and people from all parts of the world cheer for their favorite brightly-colored, dragon-themed boats while drumming out rhythms to accompany the race. It is said that the winning team ensures a good harvest and prosperity for their village.

Mid-Autumn Festival
