Consistently voted New Zealand's best one-day hike, the Tongariro Alpine Crossing is a Kiwi adventure on most people's bucket lists.

Firstly it's not just New Zealand's best single-day hike, it's said to be in the world's top ten. It is also located in the country's oldest national park which has dual World Heritage status for its cultural and natural significance.

A reasonable level of fitness is required for the 19.4km tramp which takes about seven hours. But rest assured, you will be rewarded for your efforts.
